Gulod Tanawin
Workshop
Gulod comes from the Tagalog word ‘hilltop’ and ‘Tanawin’ means a view point.
For Gulod Tanawin, deep time is flat–there is no past, present, and future. We are a collective experiment, drawing inspiration from Filipino soundsystem culture and martial arts. We freely experiment with dub, ragatak, budots, and integrate live instruments to conjure new possibilities.
‘Gulod Tanawin’ is a tutelage, a spirit guardian to draw creative intentions from. Every performance is a ceremony to summon Gulod Tanawin.
